Battery City

imprisoned inside a cold, dry cell

Live and die in this wretched place,
We were taught from a very young age
Seek and hide, but there’s no way out
Unless it’s time for you to be gone

There lies the forgotten ones in their graves
As the newborns are subdued to disgrace
There is not a soul willing to escape
From this place that’s ought to be drained

We believe that we are the biohazard
Inside this cage that’s securely barred
But all we were are chemicals packed together
For all the infamous ones to viciously tether.
